Step-by-Step Manufacturing Process

1. Resin Paste Dispensing:
   A controlled amount of formulated polyester resin paste is dispensed onto a plastic carrier film, ensuring uniform thickness and chemical consistency.

2. Glass Fibre Reinforcement:
   As the film moves forward, a chopper cuts continuous glass rovings into fine strands and deposits them evenly onto the resin paste. This forms the core structural reinforcement of the SMC sheet.

3. Sheet Lamination:
   A second plastic carrier film is laid over the glass-resin layer, sandwiching the chopped fibres between two resin-coated films.

4. Compaction & Rolling:
   The laminated sheet is compacted through rollers to ensure optimal fibre-resin bonding and thickness control. The finished sheet is then rolled onto a take-up roll, where it is stored for a maturation period to enhance handling and moulding performance.

5. Sheet Preparation (Charge Cutting):
   After maturation, the carrier films are removed, and the SMC sheet is cut into charges. Each charge is shaped based on the final product requirements and die dimensions.

6. Compression Moulding:
   The prepared charge is placed into a steel mould (die) and subjected to controlled heat and pressure. This process allows the material to flow and cure, taking the exact shape of the mould.

7. Final Product Ejection:
   Once cured, the mould is opened, and the finished part is removed — now a durable, dimensionally stable GRP component ready for assembly or delivery.
