Installation Scope & Caution Guidelines – AQUOSYS GRP Water Tanks

Safety. Precision. Reliability.

Proper installation is vital to the long-term performance and hygiene of your GRP water tank. At AQUOSYS Limited, we prioritize safe handling, site preparation, and post-installation practices to ensure our clients get durable, leak-proof, and hygienic water storage—whether for domestic, commercial, or industrial use.

📌 Scope of Installation Responsibility

1. Base Concrete Foundation – Client Responsibility

  • The client must prepare the base concrete foundation according to AQUOSYS engineering specifications and site-specific structural conditions.

  • Key Requirements:

    • Concrete strength: Minimum of 180 kg/cm²

    • Mortar leveling layer: Must not exceed 20mm in thickness

    • Flatness tolerance: Ensure accurate leveling for even load distribution

  • Anchor bolts: Supplied and installed by AQUOSYS or our approved agents

2. Nozzle & Piping Provisions

  • Nozzles (inlet, outlet, overflow, drainage) are installed by AQUOSYS, provided the client specifies their sizes and positions in advance.

  • Piping work, insulation around fittings, and final plumbing connections are the responsibility of the client.

3. Installation Clearance

  • Leave at least 600mm of open space on all sides of the tank for:

    • Routine inspection

    • Maintenance

    • Emergency access

⚠️ Installation Caution Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and safe installation process, please follow these precautions:

During Transportation

  • DO NOT stack heavy loads on GRP panels during transit.

  • Use soft padding (e.g., foam, cloth) where ropes or straps contact the panels.

  • Avoid dragging panels across abrasive surfaces.

During On-Site Installation

  • Protect nozzle fittings from pressure or torsion. Always start pipe connections from the tank side to minimize stress.

  • Do not allow piping to hang unsupported, as it could deform the nozzle joints.

  • Avoid open flames or hazardous work (e.g., welding) near tank panels—GRP is flame-resistant, not fireproof.

🔧 Maintenance Recommendations

To preserve the hygiene and function of your AQUOSYS tank:

  1. Drain the tank completely if it is not going to be used for an extended period.

  2. Inspect at least twice per year:

    • Check for leaks, deformation, and sediment build-up

    • Inspect internal and external reinforcement

    • Sanitize internal surfaces, especially for drinking water use

  3. Monitor piping connections to ensure no stress or leakage occurs over time.

  4. Ensure ventilation of the tank room to avoid excess humidity or pressure buildup.
